Coach Holmgren brings his perfect 3-0 Seahawks to Lambeau Field. The Pack started the week at a 3-point favorite in this game, now two hours before kickoff they are down to 1.5. The word on the strip is that the Seahags are a huge public favorite today. This is a “must win” for G Bay; they have to win their home games if they want a shot at the playoffs. Seattle is 3-0 but they barely got by the Rams at home, they beat up on a bad Arizona team, and they caught a flat Saints team to open the season. Containing the run should be the main focus of the Packer D-unit; S. Alexander could find room against G. Bays small front seven. The Packers offense is pretty balanced and should be the toughest opponent Seattle has faced yet. Seattle has had two weeks to prepare for this game while Green Bay is coming off a short week after Monday’s game in Chicago. If Brett Farve can control his propensity to force the ball down field he may be able to pick apart Seattle’s young secondary. Seattle is 3-12 ATS as a road dog in October, the Seahawks are 1-5 ATS their last six games after a bye week. Green Bay is 6-0 ATS in their last six games following a Monday nighter. The Packers are 5-0 ATS the last five times they have played the first game of two or more consecutive home games. I believe that there is good value in this G Bay –2 and we will not see them favored by so little at home again this season. I will go against the public money in this situation (as I often do) and “back the Pack” for the second time this week. PLAY ON THE PACKERS –1.5 TO –2.5 / 3 units
